Practice Setting
Small, rural family practice with 2 nurse practitioners. We serve clients from the age of 3 on. You will learn to manage disease. You will also learn how to prior auth an order, arrange travel for your clients as needed, manage referrals and much more. Our average appointment is 30 minutes. We do not have a large team to "do the dirty work". We do it all.
Preceptorship Description
The goal of our preceptorship program is to allow you to develop through the entire spectrum of your clinical experience. You must be committed to remaining in the area and in this practice. Consider the preceptorship as an extended interview, as well as time for you to slowly empanel patients. This will allow you to have a familiar base panel upon licensure.
How does this work? While you will see pediatrics, women's health, adult, geriatric, and rural health in our office, you will spend time with a specialist in each of these areas (as required, and identified by your program) during your specific clinical rotation. As an example, you will have pediatric experience in our family practice regardless of your specific rotation. During your pediatric rotation, you will split your required hours between our office and a pediatric specialist as required by your program. We will partner with you/your program to ensure you have the required cases and hours in each specialty.
Please note, you are committing to a clinical site for your entire program. We do not precept for a single semester. Contact us for questions.
We accept resumes of potential candidates from January through June 15, to begin the fall semester of each year. If you are interested, please submit your resume with a letter explaining why you are the right person for this unique opportunity.
