HAPN to host a free webinar on Hawaiʻi State Legislature 101: Advanced Practice Nurse as a Change Agent
Posted about 3 hours ago
It’s nearly the season of the year! The Hawaiʻi State Legislature's 2026 session begins on January 21 (Wednesday) and ends on May 8.
We expect multiple bills related to nursing/APRN/healthcare to be proposed during this session. Once the session starts, things move very quickly, so adequate preparation is key to greater engagement and ensuring your voice is heard.
To assist nursing/APRN students and nurses/APRNs in Hawaiʻi, the Hawaiʻi Association of Professional Nurses (HAPN) has decided to host a free webinar providing basic information on how the Hawaiʻi State Legislature works and how they can be actively involved. This aims to empower beginners with little or no knowledge of state policy to engage with it. We highly encourage APRN students to participate.
