Accepting Applications for Secretary Position

Hawaii Association of Professional Nurses (HAPN) is seeking a dedicated and organized individual to join our Board Of Directors as the Secretary. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the nursing profession in Hawaii and work alongside passionate professionals who are committed to advancing nursing standards, education, and advocacy across the state.

Position Overview:
As the Secretary, you will play a crucial role in supporting the mission of HAPN by managing administrative functions and ensuring efficient communication within the organization. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain confidential records while facilitating smooth operations of board meetings and organizational processes. 

Time Commitment:

Monthly 1.5 hour Virtual Meeting plus transcription of Meeting Minutes, and 1-2 times monthly mail collection

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate records of all board meetings, including minutes and attendance.
Support the president and other officers as needed in fulfilling the mission of the association.

Qualifications:

Active member of HAPN or willingness to become a member.
Proven experience in administrative roles, particularly in nonprofit organizations or associations.
Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Familiarity with meeting management tools (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Office) and document management systems.
A passion for supporting the nursing community and advocating for the advancement of the profession in Hawaii.

Term of Office:
The Secretary position is a volunteer role. The Term will be until November 2026 with the possibility of re-election.
