Target Audience and Goal Statement

This activity is intended for cardiologists, primary care physicians, diabetologists, endocrinologists, nurses, and pharmacists.

The goal of this activity is to improve use and selection of statin therapy.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • Key pharmacologic differences in statins
    • Associated drug-drug interactions with statin therapy
  • Have greater competence related to
    • Working as a member of the healthcare team to select the most appropriate statin therapy in each individual patient
