Target Audience and Goal Statement

This activity is intended for an audience of primary care physicians, diabetologists & endocrinologists, nurses, and other healthcare providers who treat patients with Cushing disease (CD) and acromegaly.

The goal of this activity is to raise awareness among clinicians of hyperglycemia in CD and acromegaly, its incidence, the links between pathophysiology and treatment for these conditions, and strategies for management of hyperglycemia in patients with CD or acromegaly.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • Incidence/prevalence of hyperglycemia in patients with acromegaly or CD
    • Link between development of hyperglycemia and pharmacotherapy for acromegaly and CD
    • Strategies for managing hyperglycemia in patients with acromegaly or CD
