Target Audience and Goal Statement
This activity is intended for physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners (NPs), and physician assistants (PAs) involved in the care of high-risk patients with mild to moderate COVID-19 disease who are interested in setting up an infusion center for monoclonal antibodies (mAbs).
The goal of this activity is to provide physicians, nurses, and other clinicians with expert guidance on best practices based on the latest clinical and real-world use of Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) neutralizing monoclonal antibody infusions and to foster their appropriate use in the treatment of patients with mild to moderate COVID-19.
Upon completion of this activity, participants will:
- Have greater competence regarding the
- Identification of patients who are candidates for monoclonal antibodies for COVID-19
- Have increased knowledge regarding the
- Appropriate follow-up for patients after mAb infusion
- Monitoring patients for reactions during mAb infusion
- Demonstrate greater confidence in their ability to
- Collaborate with the interprofessional team to run a successful mAb infusion center
