Target Audience and Goal Statement

This activity is intended for cardiologists, nephrologists, nurses, and pharmacists.

The goal of this activity is to improve the diagnosis and management of acute and chronic hyperkalemia.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have greater competence related to
    • Assessment of need for potassium binders in patients with elevated potassium levels
    • Management of elevated potassium levels across different clinical settings and scenarios
    • Team-based management of elevated potassium levels
